I am thinking of making a LF-1 in X-Plane, because it looks like an interesting design.
One thing I'm considering is what to do about the slats? Either just model them as objects which have no aerodynamic effects at all. But as this test shows, if you fix an airfoil ahead of a wing it does change the airflow over the main wing. (Not very obvious in the image, but the slat is in front of the two inner segments and the main wing's third is identical, apart from the slat.
