Well, not completely emptied. But partly (and on the other side too) by one or more unknown ferrets living with me.
But it has been more than 10 years since this happened, as then I managed to make the bookshelves unclimbable for my ferrets. Now I'm emptying them myself of stuff I don't want any longer, and in that process I move them around and remove some end supports and so on, so it's become a bit easier climbing on them. Apparently.
